Moulin Roty
In 1972, a group of friends buy a ruined mill in a small village in western France and decide to live and work there together. One of them makes a small car from wood, foam and fabric, brings it to a trade fair, and receives an order for 1500 pieces. Just like that, Moulin Roty becomes a toy company. A fire destroys everything in 1988. They start again. More than fifty years later, the French cooperative is still making toys that begin with a story, a character, a world — soft, poetic, and instantly recognisable from across the room.
